Wesley Guild

The Wesley Guild meets every fortnight on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday Fellowship

Services

Tuesday Fellowship is open to all: male, female, old, young, church member or not. We have planned various speakers and there are plenty of opportunitiues for tea & chat.

The Church is open each Wednesday for quiet devotion from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service at 10:30 a.m. The third Wednesday of month is a service of Holy Communion.

Monday Fun Tea Club

Monday Fun Tea Club

We meet from 2.00 p.m - 4.00 pm each Monday (excluding bank holidays) and play a variety of table-top games. These range from Backgammon, Sorry, Scrabble, or Chess to interesting variations of card games and dominoes where up to 8 can play. Generally there is much laughter and tea and biscuits are served.

All are welcome, come and join us. If you are uncertain, just give it a try.

Young People's Activities

WPAC

Wesley Place Adventurers' Club (WPAC) meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m., and provides a fun-based learning experience for children of all ages. For more details of WPAC, click here.

Housegroups

Housegroups

A new initiative for 2019 is to run a series of Housegroups. These will meet at various locations and at different times of the week, every second and fourth week of the month.
                      
Housegroups meet on Mon am (Costa), Wed pm (Church),
Mon/Tues/Wed evening in various houses

Sing-a-long A Sound of Music

Saturday 9th November 4:30p.m.

Calling all, whether in fine voice or not!  Break out your old curtains because fancy dress in encouraged for this event (although obviously not compulsory) and there may be a prize for the best dressed!!

Tickets are 5 and we will have a bring and share supper.

Wesley Place Christmas Tree Festival

Our annual Christmas Tree Festival will run from
Friday 22nd - Monday 25th November

This will be the 12th festival with approximately 50 illuminated trees each with its own style and theme.

  • Food, snacks and hot & cold drinks are available throughout.
  • We have a Memory Tree where prayers or memories can be placed, in return, a donation to Action for Children is appreciated.
  • Some unusual and rare  nativity scenes will be on display
  • A working Model railway will be on display with some of the trees.
  • A large stall with handmade Christmas gifts, cards and crafts in glass wood & wool etc.
  • A "Fair Trade" stall will be available throughout
  • Videos on screens showing winter scenes and previous church Christmas events.
  • Music by choirs, organists and music groups at various times.
  • On the Sunday there will be a large street fair and market from 3 P.M. outside the church organised by the local Round Table,

Festival opening times:

  • Friday 22nd, opening at 2 P.M. with children's choir 5.30 P.M.
  • Carols among the trees at 7.30 P.M. -9 P.M. with complimentary drinks and mince pies.
  • Sat. 23rd 10 A.M. 4.30 P.M.
  • Sun. 24th 2 P.M. 8 P.M.
  • Mon 25th 10 A.M. 3.30 P.M

Admission Free at all times.
